Why are we telling women to learn martial arts to defend themselves when we could tell men to stop assaulting women?
Now don't go around telling me men get assaulted too, not all men like that. Yes I agree not all men like that and men get assaulted too - but look at the statistics throughout the years, it's still disheartening.
Not to mention victim blaming. Women being told not to go back home late, not to dress "inappropriately" when there so many cases happened in broad daylight and women wearing modestly. It had nothing to do with the time we went out, it had nothing to do with how they dressed.
The sad fact, the irony of how these things become normalised. And as I always quote, "Just because it's normal, doesn't mean it's ok"
